Planning for my commercial

Props:

Our group decided to make a Takis commercial, the main props will be multiple small bags of Takis chips. Other props will include a bowl, trick or treat baskets, and a variety of different candies.

Costumes:

In our commercial, there will be four characters being filmed. The first two characters will be Trick or Treater #1 and Trick or Treater #2.Trick or Treater #1 will wear a ghost costume.Trick or Treater #2 will wear a skeleton costume. The next two characters will be Person handing out candy and Person handing out Takis. The Person handing out candy will wear a grey sweater with a button-up shirt underneath, with jeans and sneakers. The person handing out Takis will wear a witch costume.

Schedule:

On 9/16/25, our group researched the conventions of a spicy chips commercial.

On 9/17/25, our group decided the costumes, location list, props, backup plan, and schedule.

On 9/19/25, our group will create a storyboard to outline the scenes of our 30 second Takis commercial.

On 9/22-27/25, our group will meet on weekdays and weekends at Tamia’s house to film the scenes needed for the commercial.

On 9/29/25, our group will edit and add finishing touches to complete our commercial.

Location List:

Our main location will be at our group member, Tamia Ellis’s house. The outside of the house will be decorated in Halloween decor. At this location the trick or treaters will be trick or treating, a person will be passing out treats, and more. This will show that on Halloween trick or treaters don’t want candy but the savior and spicy snack, Takis, instead.

Backup Plan:

If bad weather occurs on the day of filming then we would film inside Tamia’s home instead. We would decorate the inside with the Halloween decorations that were going to be used for the outside. If an actor or cameraman is absent then the rest of the members in the group will fill in that position and alternate filming.
