Production Blog: Getting Ready For The Set
At the start of the project, I struggled with figuring out what I actually needed to buy. I kept going back and forth on what would make the commercial look complete. I knew the decorations had to match the theme, but I was not sure which details would really matter on camera. After thinking it through, I decided to get Halloween bags for the trick-or-treaters (the actors). The bags were a small detail, but they helped to make the scene more believable. I had to grab them quickly because I did not want to run out of time before filming. I also realized I needed tape and batteries for the props. I almost forgot about these and had to get them last minute. Even though they were small things, they made a big difference in how the set came together. The tape helped keep the decorations up without them falling. The batteries kept some of the props working, which made the background look more realistic. At first, I thought those little details would not matter, but seeing everything put together proved me wrong. Buying these gave me more control over how the project turned out. It also showed me that the preparation is way more important than I thought. Without the bags, the trick-or-treaters would have looked a bit off. Without the batteries, the lights on the props would not have worked. Without the tape, the decorations would not have been put up. Those small things pulled everything together in a way I did not expect. This step showed me how important it is to think ahead, even with the smallest stuff. Getting the materials ready ended up being one of the most helpful parts of the whole project.
