Production Blog: Setting the Scene

During filming, I helped create the look and feel of the music video. One of my main jobs was decorating the wall with Polaroid photos. I took the photos myself and decided what outfits I would wear for each one. I only changed my hair once for the photos to make them look different from each other. I also decided where each photo should go on the wall so it looked natural and personal. I wanted the wall to feel like real memories and fit the mood of the song. For the beach scenes, I changed my hair again to give a slightly different look. My outfit was casual, like a normal teen, to keep it realistic. At the beach, I helped pick the spots to film and made sure the background looked good. I suggested different camera angles and shots to capture the emotions of the song. I checked that the scenery, photos, and my actions all worked together to create the right feeling. I made small adjustments during filming when something didn’t look quite right. I focused on making each shot feel personal and meaningful. I also thought about how the characters would move and interact with the background. Even small details mattered, like the angle of a photo or where I stood on the sand. I wanted the scenes to feel calm and emotional, like the song itself. I am most proud of the Polaroid wall and the way the beach scenes turned out. These parts really show the connection between the characters and the mood of the video. Overall, helping with the set design, props, and aesthetics taught me how much detail matters in telling a story visually.
