Peer Review

My friend watched our opening and gave me some feedback on it. One of the first things they said was that the music didn’t really fit the story. They thought it felt kind of off for the mood and said we should pick something that matches the sleepover vibe but also works with the horror parts. They also said the plot was a little confusing sometimes. They thought it could be clearer what the girl’s intentions were so the audience actually understands why things happen. My friend also said we should add more scenes where the actors talk and actually have dialogue. They said if the characters had real conversations, it would make the story easier to follow and more interesting. They thought showing more interaction between the girls would make the ending feel stronger too. Overall, they gave the film a 6 out of 10. They said it was okay, but there were definitely some things that could be better. They mentioned the suspense was there, but it could be stronger if the story and dialogue were developed more. They liked the visuals and said the pink pajamas theme was clear, which was good. They thought the timing of some scenes felt a little rushed and could use a bit more buildup. Music and sound effects came up again, my friend said the right music could really help make the scenes feel more natural. They thought the acting was fine, but the characters could have more personality if they had more lines. They suggested adding little details in the dialogue to show the friendships between the girls. They said the sleepover mystery idea was interesting and could be really fun if the story was clearer. They thought the ending worked okay, but it could be more shocking if we had better foreshadowing. Overall, they said the opening has potential but needs some changes to really make it work. They said fixing the music, dialogue, and making the plot clearer would make the film feel complete. I really liked their feedback because it gave me ideas for how to improve the opening.
